About Me

In fourth grade I wrote a script because I didn't feel like doing a science report. Mr. Red Blood Cell, Ms. White Blood Cell and Joey Platelet went on an afternoon talk show to chat about their work in the blood stream. They came on one at a time, chatted about their jobs, moved down a chair when the next one came in, and traded quips. "They're going to love this," I said to myself, thinking of my teachers. Luckily they did.

Since then I've continued to write and study stories. I earned a Screenwriting Certificate and a BA in English Lit and Creative Writing from the University of Washington. I hold an MFA in Dramaturgy from the University of Iowa.

Highlights of my work include  a 2007 RI State Council on the Arts (RISCA) Play/Screenwriting Merit Award for my first full-length play, Midnight Mass. My 10-minute play Launching was a finalist for the 42nd Annual Samuel French Off-Off-Broadway Short Play Festival in 2017.

I can most often be found staring into the air pondering things, in tai chi class, or boogie boarding in our beautiful Ocean State waters.
